As Thanksgiving approaches, it’s a time for reflection, gratitude, and giving back to the Hampton Roads community! At Goodrich & Watson, we are embracing the spirit of the season by hosting a Thanksgiving food drive to support the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank. This food drive will run until Friday, November 17th, providing ample time for the community members to participate and make a difference.
The Virginia Peninsula Foodbank plays a critical role in combating food insecurity throughout Newport News, Williamsburg, and Hampton, and their mission is to ensure that no one goes to bed hungry. With the 27th annual Mayflower Marathon Food Drive just around the corner, Goodrich & Watson aims to gather as many donations as possible to drop off and help those in need during this Thanksgiving season.
Donating to this cause is simple. All you need to do is visit Goodrich & Watson’s office and drop off your items! At the front entrance of our office, we have a very festive donation box to collect the items in. Come Friday, we’ll deliver all the donations to the Mayflower Marathon Food Drive for you!

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the incredible individuals who joined us in making our Thanksgiving Food Drive a resounding success! We were able to drop off a total of eight boxes of donations–all filled with canned goods, boxed meals, and hygiene products–at the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank’s Mayflower Marathon, located at the Kroger in Yorktown.
But the giving doesn’t end here! The Mayflower Marathon is in full swing until Sunday. If you live in the Kiln Creek and Tabb area and haven’t had the chance to participate yet, there’s still time to make a meaningful impact.
